The annual SCSI Young Surveyors’ Ball took place in the DoubleTree by Hilton, Burlington Road, on Saturday, October 29. Organised by the Young Members Committee of the Society, this year’s Ball had over 200 members in attendance.
Speeches on the night were delivered by Zara Walsh, Chair of the Young Surveyors Committee, and Claire Solon, President of the SCSI. Claire Solon thanked everyone for attending and shared her own experiences of going to the Young Surveyors Ball not so long ago. Claire also imparted words of advice to the young members at the event, focusing mainly on the importance of building a good reputation within the industry, as this will follow them throughout their careers.
Following dinner, live entertainment was provided by popular 80s band Spring Break, with dancing going on until well into the evening.
The Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland would like to thank the Ball’s generous silver sponsors, Arthur Cox and Clarus Property Services Group, and bronze sponsors, McGovern O’Brien Chartered Building Surveyors, and Davies plumbing and heating bathroom centre, for their support for this event.
